Jairyle Jaen "JJ" Josue, SPT

From East Texas, JJ received her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She is a second-year Doctor of Physical Therapy student at the University of California - San Francisco/San Francisco State University.

She has volunteering experiences in a skilled nursing facility and acute rehab. JJ took a gap year and worked as an aide in an outpatient clinic prior to attending DPT school. Through this opportunity, she was able to work one-on-one with patients, build meaningful connections, and help patients reach their realistic, functional goals. She admired patients’ resilience to overcome adversities, and wanted to be a part of their rehab journey inspiring her to pursue a career in PT.

Outside of her academic responsibilities, JJ loves to explore and be active. Her current favorite pastime is rock climbing and hiking. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially when karaoke and kbbq are involved.
