Melody R. Mandell, PT, DPT
As a little girl, Melody started taking ballet and tap classes and progressed through her school years when she spent most of her time dancing in a San Diego based dance company. Her passion for movement and to help patients restore and optimize their movement is what motivated Melody to become a Physical Therapist.
Melody has experience in outpatient orthopedic and pediatric physical therapy, including early intervention (0-3 years of age). She takes an individualized approach with each of her patients utilizing a combination of manual therapy techniques, movement analysis, individualized therapeutic exercises, and a strong emphasis on patient education to help her patients understand each step of the rehabilitation process.
She particularly enjoys helping her pediatric patients meet their gross motor milestones utilizing skilled manual facilitation and creative activities.
In her free time, you can find Melody taking dance classes, hiking or throwing a frisbee around with her husband and dog, or experimenting with new cooking and baking recipes for her friends and family.
